Administrators
The NDCI team partners with the Chicago Public Schools Administrators Academy to offer workshops that introduce the CIRLI model and that include professional development credits toward recertification. These are offered generally twice a year near the end of each semester. Contact the AA or the NDCI team for information regarding upcoming workshops.
The NDCI team also presents school and district site-based based workshops per request and tailored to school needs. Contact the NDCI team for further information.
Familiarize yourself with the CIRLI model via the free online training module that offers CPDUs to K-12 teachers and that may be used in a more formal professional development plan for grade level and/or discipline-based teaching teams or for the entire faculty. The NDCI team would welcome the opportunity to create this plan with you for your school or district.
K—12 Teachers
Earn 5 CPDUs with the free online training module that details the CIRLI model of curriculum building and includes the creation of your own CIRLI-based lesson plan for use with your students. You are encouraged to submit your plan to the NDCI team for consideration of its inclusion on the website as a model lesson.
Use the www.cirli.org website as the basis for resources (under the MORE section) to create evidence-based, engaging lessons that incorporate your students’ real-life issues, as well as network with other teachers who have created and implemented such lesson plans (under the K-12 SCHOOLS section.)
Contact the NDCI team with your ideas for further professional development suggestions and requests.
